Prayer for the School Year

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”

Colossians 3:15

Dear God,

Thank you that You are always with us.  Thank you for Your plan and for allowing us to learn.  I want to pray for this school year.  I pray for all the students this year and I pray that we will all be diligent with our work and focus.  I pray that we will listen intently and respect and honor those who are over us.  I pray that You will please give us a new passion for learning.

I pray for those who will be doing something new for school this year. I pray that You will please give them the peace that comes from You that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

I pray for all the teachers, administrators, parents, and all those who will be helping us students.  I pray that You will please give them peace as well.  I thank you for them and their sacrifice of their time for us.

Dear God, I pray that You will please come down on our schools and fill us with You.  Please send a revival, that we may see You and have a renewed passion to serve You! I pray that ultimately we will honor You through what we do and say, and that we show You to those around us!

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hi! I’m Macy, a bondservant of Jesus Christ and saved by His amazing grace. I’m sixteen years old and I’m homeschooled along with my three sweet, younger sisters. I really enjoy studying God’s Word, playing games as a family, playing the piano, and writing. I also love seeing how God works through each and every circumstance! He is so good! One of my favorite Bible verses is: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Awesome prayer! I don’t think I truly appreciated teachers until having children. They have such a tough task to educate young people. I pray that God fills our hearts…both for students and educators.
