“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” –Psalm 106:1
Praise the Lord! I don’t know about where you are, but here where I live it has been so cold and wet and cloudy over the past several weeks (seems like forever!).
it’s sunny…and the grass is dry…and it’s 70 degrees outside! Just a small gift, but still a gift! It’s a beautiful day.
You ever heard the expression that you have to go through the valley to get to the mountain top? Some hard things came up over the last couple weeks, but God has been faithful and I know that I’ve drawn closer to Him through it. And just like the feeling we have when we get an awesome day after it’s been cold and dark outside for a long time, coming through those challenges and running the race that Christ has called us to leads to a great feeling once we’ve gone through those trials.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” -James 1:2-4
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! He is with us through the hard times and brings us through to the other side, just like the warmth of the sunshine after dark cloudiness.
