Friday Roundup #17

For this certain Friday Roundup, I have decided to do something different, instead. Our dear friend Mr. Myers is, unfortunately, struggling with his current difficulty. If you have not been paying attention, he has received a brain tumor and it is growing very quickly. I urgently request for everyone to pray for his state of health and that God’s will would be accomplished. Please read this post made by Christopher earlier in the week:

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
-Romans 8:28

Happy happy happy (Duck Dynasty)…Wednesday! Sorry…just felt like doing that. Been wanting to try that for a while!

A month or two ago, I wrote a post requesting prayer for Mr. Myers. In case you don’t remember, Mr. Myers is a man from our church who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. You can read more about it HERE. He has several children and a grandchild.

Right after finding out about his tumor, he had brain surgery to take most of it out. Earlier this Summer, he had a scheduled MRI for his brain to see if it had grown back. Unfortunately, it had grown back rather quickly.

Since it is on the right side of his brain, his left side is becoming weak…he has fallen recently a couple times. To make it worse, his family thinks that he might be going blind in one eye.

I’m writing all of this to urge you to pray for him. James 5:16 tells us of the power of prayer:

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.-James 5:16

We know that God is fully able to heal Mr. Myers. However, we also know that God has the bigger picture in mind. We just have to trust him.

Please pray for His healing, pray that the Myers family will have peace, and pray that God will be glorified.

In Christ,

Of course, any prayer is very welcome and will be appreciated.

Howdy! I’m Collin, 16 years old, and a homeschooled junior. I play the piano, ukulele, and many sports. I’m far from perfect, and that’s why I love to share (through this blog) what God is showing me in His word. Although I have many favorite Bible verses, if I had to choose one it would be Romans 12:12, Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” I believe that prayer is the most powerful tool we are given as Christians and it should not be taken for granted. Toodles!
