July Roundup

3. There is a season for everything… (Christopher)

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens

– Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a season for every activity under heaven. And it just so happens that the literal season that we’re in right now is…summer (unless you’re in somewhere like New Zealand). Most of us are off from school for at least a little bit, and that frees us up to do other things during our days. However, make sure that you’re spending your time wisely, or you might feel like you didn’t do anything this summer, which is what I often feel like. 😛

2. No Man is an Island! (Christopher)

You and I my friend, we are not meant to be alone.

Even Adam was given a helpmate.

We were made to commune with God and with one another. So, if you’re living like an island, come back to the mainland! No shame is so great, no mistake so large, that you cannot come back to the body! And, if you’re beating yourself up because you’re lonely, don’t do that. You’re made like God! You should feel unnatural in isolation.

“May they all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you. ” – Jesus

-Mike Donehey

What he is saying here is so true. We need to be in fellowship with other believers. There are many verses throughout the Bible talking about the importance of being with other people and believers in general. And we not only need to be in contact with believers, but we need to be witnessing to unbelievers as well (Matthew 28:16-20). You are not an island, so don’t act like it! Summer is a great time to go out and make some friends, so try it and I think that you won’t be sorry!

1. Time Well Spent with Dr. Charles Stanley (Christopher)

Dr. Stanley does a great job of summarizing how we should spend our time. I highly recommend that you go check it out as soon as possible!

QOTM: “Prayer is powerful, and as Christ’s children, we need to be in correspondence with our Father.” – Establishing Prayer (Christopher)

HIRL: The 238th anniversary of our nation’s independence was on the first Friday of the month! I hope Americans never forget the sacrifice that our founding fathers made for our nation.

Have a great weekend!

~ Collin

Howdy! I’m Collin, 16 years old, and a homeschooled junior. I play the piano, ukulele, and many sports. I’m far from perfect, and that’s why I love to share (through this blog) what God is showing me in His word. Although I have many favorite Bible verses, if I had to choose one it would be Romans 12:12, Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” I believe that prayer is the most powerful tool we are given as Christians and it should not be taken for granted. Toodles!
