There is a season for everything…

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens

-Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a season for every activity under heaven. And it just so happens that the literal season that we’re in right now is…summer (unless you’re in Australia). Summer is awesome. Most of us are off from school for at least a little bit, and that frees us up to do other things during our days.

I just want to throw this out there- how are you spending your time this summer? There are so many productive ways to spend it, but there are also a ton of useless ways to spend it. You want to make sure that at the end of summer you can look back and see that you didn’t waste the time that God gave you.

This is something that I have to struggle with sometimes. But here’s the deal- every day we have from God is a gift. And especially when we’re free on weekends or during summer break (or anytime you take off of school), we need to make sure we’re not throwing that time away. Spend time with people. Learn something new. Read God’s Word. And the list goes on and on.

This week, I challenge you to look at every day is a gift from God. I will be trying to do the same thing. It will change how we look at free time!

In Christ,
