Friday Roundup #11

Ah, it’s Friday! Need I say more?? I feel a song should be made. It should go something like, “It’s Friday, Friday, Friday.” And then in the middle it should say the days of the week, in order. Of course I’m kidding, this would be a pretty crazy song. So, let’s get down to the top 3 posts of last week:

3. Lesson 101- Secondary Issues, Don’t Let Them Become Dividing Issues (Christopher)

The title is pretty descriptive, so I don’t know if I can add anything else. But, so many times we let little things become bigger things, when they don’t need to be. I recently heard a quote, “You can be right, or you can be happy. You can’t be both.” This simply means that don’t fight over the little things that don’t matter. Let them slide.

2. SSR – May (Wyatt)

I have to tell you, I have been waiting for this song to be on a Saturday Song Review. It’s one of my favorite songs ever. If you’ve never heard Oceans, go over there and take a listen.

1. Underestimated Underdogs (Wyatt)

I have recently said to my self multiple times, “Self, you can never do that until you’re older!” or “Self, you just can’t do that. There’s no way.” The wonderful news is (ready for cheesy?) you can do everything if you try your best! In all seriousness, though, this is a true statement. Put your mind to it and try really hard, and you can probably do it. Ask God to help you. For me, it’s easier that way.

QOTW: “Don’t allow yourself to be underestimated. Do something amazing. Change the world.” – Underestimated Underdogs (Wyatt)

HIRL: You guys need to see this to believe it:

Howdy! I’m Collin, 16 years old, and a homeschooled junior. I play the piano, ukulele, and many sports. I’m far from perfect, and that’s why I love to share (through this blog) what God is showing me in His word. Although I have many favorite Bible verses, if I had to choose one it would be Romans 12:12, Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” I believe that prayer is the most powerful tool we are given as Christians and it should not be taken for granted. Toodles!
