Ah, yet another Friday Roundup! I feel kinda good for keeping this thing going. That reminds me! If you had a certain post or quote that you saw on the blog this week, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will try to put it on the next Friday Roundup! (I was told I needed to make this one longer, so here goes:)
3. Who Am I? (Wyatt)
Oh, yes. Who am I? What’s wrong? What’s happening? Besides calling himself an idiot (and I don’t think you are…how nice was that?!), he did a spectacular (+10 points for nice word) job focusing on what we can do as Christians, and who are we in Christ.
2. Unquestioned Answers: Part 2 (Wyatt)
Wow. I’m really liking this series Wyatt’s got going on here. He sounds pretty smart in these, too. If you read the post, you know what I mean! Looking forward to many more!
1. How To: Play Video Games (Christopher)
I know, I did the same thing. You look at the title and go,”Pppppth. I don’t need to read that…” Oh, boy did my life go downhill from the time I started playing Modern Warfare, or Call of Duty, whichever one it was. DO NOT get sucked into the lies of the world. Oh my goodness, how the world had impacted me so much. How the world had made me turn away from God’s Word. It cannot be stressed enough: DO NOT GO WITH THE FLOW (aka: the world). I still have nightmares sometimes from playing that game. It’s awful. But, at the time, it was what the ‘cool guys’ were doing. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m all up for being cool, and being accepted…wait, God has already accepted us. What does the world matter to us now? Please, PLEASE do not get sucked into the ‘cool’ life-disasters of the world!
Quote of the week: “I am a sinner. I am broken. I am a human. I make mistakes. A whole lot of them. But here’s the good news: I have been redeemed, saved by grace because ‘…God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life..’ (John 3:16).” – Who Am I? (Wyatt)
HIRL (Happening In Real Life): The Seattle Seahawks (my second-favorite NFL team) advanced to Super Bowl XLVIII (48) on Sunday night after beating the San Fransisco 49ers 23-17. They will play the Denver Broncos, who defeated the New England Patriots (my favorite NFL team) 26-16 that same night. The winner? Probably the Broncos if the weather is warm (-er than 50F). But, if not, the quarterback (Peyton Manning) does awful in cold-weather games, so hopefully the Seahawks will come out on top! The location: East Rutherford, NJ. (Go Hawks!)
Well, I’m afraid that’s all we have for today’s Friday Roundup, but I think I successfully made it longer!
Until next week,
